You will be met at Cape Town Airport and transferred to your hotel for 9 nights. On arrival you will be presented with a full detailed timed itinerary of your tour for the week, and you will be given the opportunity to ask any questions you have prior to the start of the tour. You will be given time to settle in for the rest of the day before being picked up in the evening for a meal at the famous Gold Restaurant
Today you will be picked up by our local guide for a full day private wine tasting tour in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. You will visit 4 or 5 vineyards and be given the chance to try and purchase a wide range of excellent wines from some of the best wine growing regions in the world. There is a lunch stop (own expense) overlooking the beautiful Franschhoek valley and the day finishes with a wine and cheese pairing.
Today is a full day private tour with a local guide taking in some of the most outstanding scenery around Cape Town. Cape Point is at the tip of the Cape Peninsula and one of the southern most part of table mountain national park, a declared Natural World Heritage Site. From here you will visit the Cape of Good Hope, a rocky headland on the Atlantic Ocean. The tour also includes a visit to Boulders Beach, the breeding place of the African Penguins and a unique sight in the region.
This morning you will be picked up by a local driver and taken down to the Clock Tower ready to embark on a tour of the historic Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for 27 years. There is a ferry ride across to the island, where you will then pick up a bus on arrival for a tour of the island, followed by a tour of the prison by a former inmate. You will then return back by ferry to the clock tower where your driver will be waiting to take you across to Kirstenbosch botanical gardens.
Today you will have plenty of free time to explore areas of Cape Town of your choice. At an agreed time you will be picked up from your accommodation, and transferred to the Mount Nelson Hotel for a luxury Afternoon Tea.
Today is an included trip to Cape Agulhas, which is the southernmost tip of Africa and the place where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans Meet. The tour takes you through stunning mountain scenery, and you will get the opportunity to try and spot the blue crane, the national bird of South Africa. Late lunch (own expense) will be in Hermanus, and if you are there between July and November you may get to see the whales from the shore...
At a pre-arranged time you will be picked up and transferred to Cape Town Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival at Johannesburg airport you will be picked up and transferred to a hotel in preparation for your safari tour starting tomorrow.
For the next 3 nights you will take part in an organised group overland tour along the panoramic route and into Kruger Park. Highlights include Bourkes Potholes, God’s Window, Blyde River Canyon, a Full Day Safari Drive, Bush Walk, Night Drive, 4x4 Game Drive and local handicraft shopping. Following the tour you will return to Johannesburg Accommodation.
Today you will do a full day trip from Johannesburg to the Cradle of Humankind, including the Sterkfontein Caves and Maropeng Explore the incredible underground network of the Sterkfontein Caves with a guided tour , learn about the evolutionary history of the area at the Maropeng visitor center and see South African wildlife at the Rhino and Lion Park.
Today you will spend a day exploring the most famous township in South Africa on a full-day small-group guided tour of Soweto from Johannesburg. Join a knowledgeable local guide for a visit to the renowned Apartheid Museum and huge Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. This tour also includes a delicious buffet lunch of traditional local dishes.
Today you will have the morning at leisure to enjoy your hotel or check out the local area. In the afternoon you will be picked up for a 4-hour tour of Lesedi African Lodge and Cultural Village. In the village you will visit five cultural areas representing different tribes – Zulu, Pedi, Ndebele, Basotho and Xhosa End your village tour in the Nyama Choma. Following this you will have time to visit the restaurant for dancing and Pan African cuisine.
Today you will be picked up at an agreed time and transferred to Johannesburg airport for your return journey home.
