This unique safari experience is about spending 5 nights onboard a tailor-made boat with pod tents attached to the roof! You will spend the days travelling down the Zambezi from Chirundu to Kanyemba. Days are spent drifting, fishing, and game viewing; and every evening is passed on the banks of the river with no one else around - just a fire to sit by and an impressive canopy of stars to observe while your private chef prepares your dinner.
The Challenger is a custom built aluminium and fibreglass boat measuring 10m long by 4m wide. It is the largest of the fleet and is manned by 3 crew members which include a Skipper, Professional Guide and deck hand. The vessel consist of two decks: A lower level for living and dining, and an upper deck with sleeping pods and a game viewing area. Maximum guest capacity is 8 passengers. This boat has an onboard hot shower and a toilet
The Discovery was the first boat in the fleet and is a custom built aluminium and fibreglass design measuring 7m by 2.7m . The layout has recently changed to cater for a maximum of 2 guests for a more intimate, personal experience. This more rustic boat has an upper deck that will house one sleeping pod identical to the Challenger. This gives way for a private game viewing area on the top deck. On the lower deck, there is plenty of space for living, dining, game viewing, and relaxing. This boat has a hot shower onboard but no toilet ......meaning you will have to be comfortable with the bush toilet!
